This is the information we need to begin generating a news release for your event, accomplishment or initiative. News releases may be sent by the Marketing & Communications Department to the WSU News Service in Pullman for broad distribution. Information also might be shared in Cougar News, on Facebook, via Twitter, on the campus web site, etc.
* Not all information sent to Marketing and Communications qualifies as news.
* Sending out a news release does not guarantee news coverage.
* The Marketing & Communications Department reserves the right to determine if a news release is warranted or advisable. Ordinary events such as attendance at conferences, speaking engagements, appointments to boards, etc. are generally not newsworthy.
* Every attempt is made to get your news out in an accurate and timely manner, but occasionally other projects must take priority. Your patience and flexibility are appreciated.
