Please carefully read the following terms and conditions. If these terms and conditions are not met your application will be automatically disqualified.
Cougs 4 Cougs is Washington State University’s crowdfunding platform which supports registered student organizations, programs, and employees that make a difference at Washington State University. Cougs 4 Cougs helps to provide support by providing an opportunity to fundraise for special programs, projects, or events through a grassroots effort.
All registered student organizations, programs and employees adding value to the out-of-classroom student experience from all WSU campuses are eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis with those whose projects taking place first given priority for listing order. Applications will be screened and those meeting the minimum criteria will go to WSU Foundation Annual Giving Team for review. The Annual Giving Team will meet as necessary to review applications. Your organization may be required to present to the Annual Giving Team if there are questions regarding the application. If so, your project leader will be contacted to set up a time.
You must also email a budget for the 2015-2016 academic year to email@example.com. The budget should include all sources of revenue and planned expenditures for the entire year. The amount you are trying fundraising needs to be represented in your budget and you will need to clearly outline in detail how you intend to use the requested funds. You must also provide a valid 17A or 17C account for funds to be transferred. If the application and/or budget are incomplete, the organization will not meet the minimum criteria and therefore not be considered for funding.
The WSU Foundation Annual Giving Team particularly looks for organizations that make an impact on WSU’s student body. The Annual Giving Team will not approve any funding requests for pizza parties, t-shirts, etc., unless you can demonstrate this is a critical part of the program (must show importance). Absolutely no requests involving alcohol will be considered.
If your organization is awarded funds, you will be required to complete the following steps:
1. Meet requirements set by the Annual Giving Team if special circumstances apply (ex: a signed contract from the guest speaker outside of the university is required before funds are transferred.
2. Recognize the WSU Foundation’s Cougs 4 Cougs Program at specific events.
3. Allow a representative from the Cougs 4 Cougs Program if available to attend activities where appropriate.
4. Submit a final report of the funded event including photos of activities and a brief description. These photos and description may be used in future Cougs 4 Cougs communications.
All funds should be spent and a final report must be submitted by June 30, 2016.
